Lyam’s Journal is an innovative novel that gives readers a glimpse inside the mind of a sociopath. The author worked 12 years at a psychiatric facility in upstate New York, and the experiences there inspired him to write this novel. He doesn’t deliver a story about Lyam, but instead allows the character to speak for himself through entries in his Journal. Lyam Rogers has learned how to interact positively with people on a daily basis. He could be the person sitting next to you at the movies, your favorite co-worker, or your next door neighbor. Writing in his Journal gives Lyam the opportunity to drop the facade he wears like a suit, and gives readers a peek inside his psychotic mind. The Journal acts as a catharsis for his shadowed soul.
